Cookie Policy
Last updated: 8 July 2026
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember information about your visit — such as which landing page variant you saw — so that the experience is consistent across page loads.
We also use similar technologies such as local storage and session tokens. This policy covers all such technologies collectively.
2. Cookies We Use
We use a minimal set of cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, social media tracking pixels, or any third-party retargeting technology.
2.1 Strictly Necessary — Vercel (No Cookies)
Vercel Analytics (our hosting provider) collects aggregated, cookieless traffic statistics — page views, referrers, and approximate country of origin — using techniques that do not require cookies and do not track individuals. No cookie is set. No personal data is collected. No consent required.
2.2 Analytics and A/B Testing — PostHog
We use PostHog to understand how visitors interact with the landing page and to test different versions of content (A/B testing). PostHog may set cookies and collect:
- A randomly generated session identifier (no name, no account)
- Pages visited and time spent
- Clicks and scroll depth
- Browser type, operating system, screen size
- Approximate location (country/region, derived from IP; IP is not stored after geo-lookup)
- Which landing page variant was shown to your session
| Cookie / key | Set by | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
ph_* |
PostHog | Session analytics & A/B testing assignment | 1 year | Analytics |
posthog_* |
PostHog | Persistent distinct ID for session stitching | 1 year | Analytics |
Legal basis: legitimate interests (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) in understanding which landing page content converts best, so we can improve the product presentation. You may opt out at any time (see Section 4).
3. What We Do Not Use
- No advertising or retargeting cookies (Google Ads, Meta Pixel, etc.)
- No social media tracking buttons or embedded feeds
- No cross-site tracking of any kind
- No fingerprinting beyond what PostHog collects per its own policy
4. How to Control Cookies
Browser settings
All modern browsers let you view, block, and delete cookies. Using your browser's privacy settings to block all cookies will prevent PostHog from collecting analytics data on this site. It will not affect the functionality of the website.
PostHog opt-out
PostHog provides a JavaScript opt-out mechanism. If you have JavaScript enabled, you can
opt out by calling posthog.opt_out_capturing() in your browser's developer
console while on any page of this site. This sets a persistent opt-out flag in your browser.
Do Not Track
We respect the browser "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. When DNT is enabled, PostHog is configured to honour it and will not collect analytics data for your session.
5. Third-Party Links
This website may link to external services (Steam, Paddle, YouTube demo videos, etc.). Those sites have their own cookie policies which we do not control and are not responsible for.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the tools we use or in applicable law. The "Last updated" date at the top will be revised accordingly. Continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
